No Volcanic Ash in the Galtees

Approximately 20 members of the Blarney Hill Walking Group took to the Galtees today for two guided walks. Leaving Blarney at 8.30am, the group convened for morning coffee at Kilcoran Lodge and then enjoyed 3-4 hours in the hills. The "Group A" walk reached the top of both Galtee Beag and Galtee Mor, stopping on the top of the latter for a well deserved picnic lunch. The group was treated to premier class weather conditions and it was a double treat to have no overhead aircraft to spoil the blue skies and the tranquillity that the Galtee Mountains had to offer.
